If every time

diplateevo:

you said anything to me, you started with “Dear Daniel”, and ended with “Amen”, I would probably feel kinda strange around you because you always have a framework for our conversations.

I thought it was supposed to be a relationship, not a religion.

And if every time I met Daniel, I would follow the same script and say the exact same thing to him every time, we wouldn’t be friends for very long.

And if every time I met Daniel, I would rant to him all my problems and issues and requests, and never actually let him speak, we wouldn’t be friends very long.

And if the only time I decided to talk to Daniel was when I was in trouble, on Sunday morning, and before my meals, it probably would be uncomfortable for Daniel every time.

I’ve actually known Daniel for 5 years, and in all honesty, if I ever did any of that, he would probably look at me and say “Dude. What are doing? This is retarded. Do seriously not know how to relate like a human being? I’ve known you for 5 years and now you’re turning what was organic and life-giving into something religiously structured. You know better, man.”
