mini updates

This past week, we were at some christian event at a local beach in Margate (South Africa). I ministered to a lady (with 3 of her friends) who was partially deaf who was completely healed, she was in tears.

10 minutes later, I was with a mother and her son who was born with an eye defect. He was on a cornea-transplant list. Within 20 seconds, he told me and his mom that he was seeing 100% better. The mom was dumbfounded.

We’ve been learning a ton of discipleship stuff with the young people here. It’s been awesome.

I love it when we hang out in bars and just be real with the absolute atheists there. They love how normal we are and how different we are compared to the ‘christianity’ they grew up hearing about.

We just met this 19 year old girl a few days ago who had a ton of issues and now the girls on the team are just loving on her and showing her truth and freedom. The girl is actually infamous in the area because she was very rebellious when she was growing up, doing everything imaginable.

It’s so awesome to set people from guilt, shame, and condemnation.

It was cool how we met the girl too. A few days before that, we were walking down the street next to the beach, and I saw an older guy sitting in a camping chair inside a small shop. I immediately figured I could grow out his leg. So I went in asked him about the store. Turns out, he was the owner, and it was a burger shop, and turns out, the burgers were R10 (about $1.50) for a chicken burger (super good deal).

One of the guys on the team ended up buying some so it gave me opportunity for me to ask if he ever dealt with back problems. He said he did, so I offered him a solution. I sat him down in the same chair I originally saw him in, commanded his leg to grow out, he checked his back and he could touch his toes for the first time in a long while.

He ended up giving me his cell #, introduced me to his wife, let the team pray for the rest of the employees (3-4 of them), and invited me to stop by anytime.

So fast forward, we met this 19 year old girl because she was on the afternoon shift a few days later, and while we were standing, waiting for our food, the owner told this girl how he met us. She ended up walking up to us 4 guys and said, “So I hear you guys are like miracle workers.”

Can’t wait to see how her life gets transformed.

2 and a half more weeks here. Trying to brainstorm what I can change when I get back to the states. I am really fed up  with playing church games that don’t set people free and transform lives.
